Two warring Courts. One peace treaty. One royal marriage nobody quite asked for, and a King who never makes it to the feast.

Category is: FAE DRAMA.

Are you a BookTok girlie? A fan of A Court of Thorns and Roses, perchance? Then this murder mystery game is for you.

Star Court and Flower Court have been at war for hundreds of years — so long nobody at the table quite remembers how it started. Tonight, on neutral ground at the Meadow Court, the peace treaty finally will get signed, sealed (and delivered) with a marriage between the two heirs.

Well, that's the plan, anyway.

The hospitality magic breaks, the candles go out, and King Draco never does get to enjoy the hors d'oeuvres.

Cracking the case is a goal, yes. But mostly, you're here for gossip. These are Fae. There's a TON.

Warning: These are Fae. Modern gender, biological, and behavioral “norms” do not apply.

Why this one's better than those other guys

  • A fixed murderer. But everybody has a legitimate motive. That guy sucked. Big Time.
  • No filler characters. Every player has a motive, secrets to guard and info to hunt. You will need all 6 characters to play.
  • Solid drama, because it's written by a human. A human who used to work in Hollywood, actually. We've got a murder, a cold case, affairs (EVERYWHERE), and political maneuvering. The kind of melodrama ChatGPT will never understand.
  • Dungeon Master-style narration to kick off each round. A handy script is provided for your best orator, or you can let me dramatically narrate for you with the audio companion. (try not to spoil yourself if you choose to sample it)

Cast of characters:

  • Queen Cassiopeia (Star Court) — a thousand years on the throne and ready to retire, if the secret they've guarded for centuries doesn't unravel first.
  • Princess Vega (Star Court) — the heir apparent, engaged to secure the peace, carrying more weight than anyone at the table realizes.
  • General Mantis (Star Court) — the royal spymaster, hiding the Things They've Done in the name of their Court.
  • Queen Poppy (Flower Court) — a widow who wants the truth about their late King's disappearance more than they want this treaty signed.
  • Princess Artemisia (Flower Court) — raised for war, engaged for peace, and hiding an affair that could undo both.
  • General Rose (Flower Court) — burned out from decades of failed negotiations, and willing to bend the treaty to make it worth the wait.
